Fleetwood are now 11 points outside the League One play-off spots after four games without a league victory. The visitors have drawn their last three league games, including last time out when they drew 1-1 at North West rivals Rochdale.
Joey Barton’s team have been poor on their travels in League One, failing to win in eight away matches in the third tier, while suffering six defeats in the process. There are signs of improvement on the road, though, as they have drawn their last two away matches.
Fleetwood’s recent away games in the third tier have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in five of their last eight games on their travels in Ligue One.
Town also have a poor record against the home side, winning just two of the last 14 encounters between the two teams.
