The Premier League is relentless at the moment and the action continues this Saturday as Manchester United welcome Fulham to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils will be hoping for some early Christmas cheer as they aim to keep pace with the top four teams in the Premier League.  Anything but a win in this match will be hugely disappointing and will leave Manchester United in mid-table.

Fulham start the weekend sitting bottom of the Premier League.  They will not be expected to pick up any points from this game but if they do, it would be a massive bonus as they aim to avoid relegation.

Manchester United were held to a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford by Arsenal on Wednesday night.  Having twice fallen behind, Manchester United fought back to equalise and anyone could have won the match as the action became chaotic towards the end of the game.

That result means Manchester United have won just one of their last five games in all competitions and the win came in the Champions League over Young Boys.  You must go back to the 3rd November at Bournemouth to find the last time Manchester United won a Premier League game.

However, they are difficult to beat and have lost only one of their last eight games in all competitions.  Trends show Manchester United have lost just five of their last thirty-eight home games in all competitions but have been held in their previous two Premier League matches.

Fulham travel north having picked up a point in a 1-1 home draw with Leicester City on Wednesday night. The Cottagers will be disappointed not to have picked up all 3 points having taken the lead in the match and remain bottom of the table.

Trends show Fulham have won only one of their last ten games in all competition and that was at home against Southampton in the Premier League.  They have lost each of their last six away Premier League matches and conceding goals has been a big problem.

Fulham have conceded 2 or more goals in seven of their eight away Premier League games this season.  They have also been struggling to score goals on the road and have failed to find the target in each of their last four away matches in all competitions.

Team news and Manchester United will be without the injured Phil Jones, Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof and Alexis Sanchez.  Both Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku will hope to start having been left on the bench against Arsenal.

Fulham have two players on the treatment table and Kevin McDonald and Floyd Ayite will not play any part in the game.  Claudio Ranieri is unlikely to make many changes from the team which picked up a point against Leicester.

Manchester United have struggled to win games at home this season but they should come out on top on this match.  Fulham have struggled badly on the road this season and Manchester United should take all 3 points.
