In-form Premier League outfit Chelsea host Championship Derby at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup last 16.

Chelsea have made an exciting start to life under boss Maurizio Sarri, having recorded 11 wins in 14 games in all competitions this season. The Blues are in fact unbeaten since a 2-0 Community Shield defeat by Manchester City back in August.

The home side has been prolific in front of goal of late, scoring at least two goals in their last four games in all competitions. The Blues attacking prowess has meant their last four games have produced over 2.5 goals.

Chelsea have a mixed recent record in the League Cup, although a record of four wins in their last six outings is not a terrible one. Last season the Blues made it to the semi-finals of the competition, only to suffer a two-legged defeat by Arsenal.

The team from the English capital are unbeaten in their last eight home games in the League Cup, recording victories in six of those games in 90 minutes. The Blues have also scored at least two goals in six of their last eight League Cup matches at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are likely to head into the game as big favourites to progress. However, boss Sarri is likely to rotate his starting line-up for the clash, which may give the visitors a chance of pulling off another shock win.

Derby are gunning for promotion in the Championship under Chelsea legend Frank Lampard. The Rams have been hard to beat of late, losing just one of their last nine games in all competitions. The visitors are also unbeaten in five matches.

County has a mixed record in the League Cup of late, but are three games unbeaten in the competition. They shocked Manchester United in the last round by beating the Red Devils on penalty kicks.

Chelsea are likely to be tougher opponents and Forebet predicts that the home side will record a win in a high scoring encounter.
