Both Teams Hope to Return to Winning Ways

The late kick-off on Saturday in the Premier League is a meeting between Leicester City and West Ham United at the King Power Stadium.  Both teams will be hoping to get back to winning ways after a couple of negative results in recent weeks.

A win for Leicester City will see them move above Manchester United ahead of their game on Sunday whereas West Ham need a win to move them away from the relegation zone.  There is all to play for in what should be an entertaining game.

Leicester City come into this game on the back of a 3-1 defeat at Arsenal on Monday night. The Foxes were excellent in the first half and took the lead through an own goal.  However, Arsenal got back into the game with an equaliser just before half-time and went on to win the match.

That was the second defeat in succession for Leicester City, who lost 2-1 at home against Everton the previous week.  They will be hoping to get back to winning ways following a promising start to the season.

Trends show Leicester City have seen over 2.5 goals in seven of their last nine matches in all competitions.  Both teams have scored in each of their last three home Premier League games and Leicester City have enjoyed four wins by 2 goals or more in their last six home matches in all competitions.

West Ham suffered a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur last weekend in the Premier League. Having held Chelsea to a 0-0 draw in the Premier League, defeated Macclesfield Town 8-0 in the League Cup and beat Manchester United 3-1 in the Premier League, the last two results have been disappointing for West Ham.

Prior to the defeat against Spurs, West Ham lost 1-0 away to Brighton and Hove Albion which seemed to dent their growing confidence.

Trends show West Ham have lost seven of their last ten away Premier League games.  They have lost three of their four away Premier League games this season but did pick up a good 3-1 win at Everton which shows what the Hammers are capable of on their day.

Both teams have scored in ten of West Ham’s last thirteen away Premier League matches.

Team news and Leicester are still without the suspended Wes Morgan which means Jonny Evans should keep his place in central defence alongside Harry Maguire.  Jamie Vardy has not trained this week and remains a doubt.

West Ham travel to the King Power Stadium without Andriy Yarmolenko who is out for six months with a knee injury.  He joins Winston Reid, Manuel Lanzini, Andy Carroll, Jack Wilshere, Carlos Sanchez and Pedro Obiang on the treatment table.

This should be a very good game to watch, with plenty of chances at both ends of the pitch.  Marco Arnautovic will cause the home defence problems but Leicester have enough going forward of their own to win the match with both teams scoring.
