Wolves and Toffees set for a draw

Wolves and Toffees set for a draw

In Saturday evening’s Premier League kick-off, new boys Wolves host Everton at Molineux, as the two sides look to kick-off their campaign with a victory.

Wolves were outstanding in the Championship last season, winning the title and returning to the Premier League after a six-year absence.

The team from the Midlands finished last season with an unbeaten run of nine games on home soil. Wolves also kept three straight clean sheets in their last three home games at Molineux.

The home side has strengthened their squad significantly this summer, with the likes of Portuguese duo Joao Moutinho and Rui Patricio, Adama Traore and Leander Dendoncker amongst others arriving at the club.

Wolves failed to win any of their last 14 top-flight games in their last stint. With a far stronger squad this time around in the Premier League, the home side are far more likely to avoid a relegation dogfight this season.

Everton appointed Portuguese boss Marco Silva as their new head coach after firing Sam Allardyce earlier this summer. The Toffees have certainly made a splash in the transfer market signing Yerry Mina, Lucas Digne, Andre Gomes from Barcelona, while winger Richarlison arrived from Watford for a £40million.

The Merseysiders finished eighth-place last season but experienced a torrid campaign under three different bosses. The visitors won just two of their last seven Premier League games last season.

The away side’s games towards the end of last season were low scoring, as five of their last six games produced under 2.5 goals.

The Toffees also had a poor away record towards the end of the campaign, winning just two of their last ten games on their travels in the top-flight. Their latest away games in the Premier League have been low scoring, as four of their last six matches on their travels produced under 2.5 goals.

Forebet predicts that this game will be a tight affair and finish in a goalless draw.
