For a good while, Chelsea’s hopes of finishing in the top-four of the Premier League looked to be over. However, Antonio Conte’s team now head into Wednesday night’s home game against Huddersfield at Stamford Bridge within touching distance of the teams above them.

Chelsea are just two points behind Tottenham in fourth and three behind Liverpool in third. However, the former champions have played a game less than Liverpool. Conte’s team does have a vastly inferior goal difference to Jurgen Klopp’s outfit though. A victory in this game would take the battle for the Champions League spots to the final day at least.

The home side heads into this game in good form having won their last four matches in the league. The Blues also have a decent home record of late in the league, having won three of their last five at Stamford Bridge, although their home form has not been as solid as previous seasons.

Huddersfield also head into this clash in desperate need of a victory. The Terriers are just three points above the relegation zone. However, with relegation rivals Swansea and Southampton going head-to-head on Tuesday night the visitor’s position in the fight for survival will be much clearer after the massive clash.

David Wagner’s side picked-up an incredible goalless draw at champions Manchester City last time out. The draw could yet prove vital with this clash and a home game against Arsenal remaining the Terriers needs to pick up as many points as possible.

The Yorkshire sides main problem this season has been scoring goals, as the Terriers have scored the joint-fewest goals alongside fellow strugglers Swansea.

Town has struggled on the road in the Premier League, winning just once in their last nine outings in the league on their travels.

Forebet predicts that Chelsea will record a vital victory in a low scoring game to add to Huddersfield’s relegation worries.
