On Saturday evening, Swansea will look to boost their chances of Premier League survival by beating Chelsea at the Liberty Stadium.

While results have improved under Portuguese boss Carlos Carvalhal, the Swans are still just four points clear of the relegation zone.

A recent run of five games without a win in the Premier League has hampered the Welsh side’s chances of pulling away from the relegation zone. Last time out Carlos Carvalhal’s team suffered a 5-0 mauling at champions Manchester City.

One of the home side’s main problems this season has been scoring goals, as the Swans have scored just two goals in their last five league outings. The Welsh side are also the joint-lowest scorers in the Premier League this season alongside Huddersfield.

Despite a five-game winless recent run, Carvalhal’s team have a strong recent home record, winning four of their last five league outings at the Liberty Stadium. In fact, a 1-1 draw with Everton in their last home league game ended a four-game winning run on home soil.

Chelsea are still in with a slim chance of finishing in the Premier League’s top-four, as the Blues are five points behind Tottenham who occupy fourth-place.

A three-game unbeaten run in the Premier League consisting of two wins and a draw has kept their hopes of securing a Champions League spot alive. The Blues have also won their last two league games.

The visitor’s recent away form has been inconsistent in the top-flight, as Antonio Conte’s side have won three and lost three of their last six away games in the Premier League. Things seem to be looking up on their travels though, with consecutive away wins in the Premier League.

Swansea City are in desperate need of maximum points to aid their chances of survival. However, Forebet predicts that the visitors will leave with the points by recording a high scoring win.
