Girona are just a point and two places above Espanyol in La Liga. The top-flight debutants have enjoyed a decent start to life in La Liga. Their recent league form has been inconsistent, though.
The visitors have failed to win in their last three La Liga games. However, two of those games have finished in draws and they have suffered just one defeat in their last six league outings.
Girona have a decent away record in La Liga. The visitors are currently unbeaten in their last five away games in the Spanish top-flight. In fact, the only away game the minnows have lost was their first ever game on their travels in La Liga, when they were defeated by Athletic Bilbao.
