On Wednesday night, in-form Tottenham host London rivals West Ham at Wembley in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

Tottenham have hit form of late and are currently third in the Premier League table. Mauricio Pochettino’s men are 11 games unbeaten in all competitions, with the north London side recording eight victories in the process.

Last time out, Spurs hammered Liverpool 4-1 at Wembley. The win was their third straight home victory, while they are also now unbeaten in six games in all competitions at their temporary home.

The home side have been firing on all cylinders in front of goal of late, scoring three or more goals in four of their last six competitive outings. At the other end of the pitch, Spurs have also kept clean sheets in five of their last eight games in all competitions, conceding just four goals in the process.

Tottenham have a recent history of beating West Ham, as they won 3-2 at the London Stadium just last month in the Premier League.

West Ham’s recent form has been poor, as they have won just one of the last four outings in all competitions. Last time out, the Irons suffered a poor 3-0 home defeat by Premier League new boys Brighton.

The defeat and the team’s erratic form this season has led to major question marks over boss Slaven Bilic’s future at the club.

The Hammers did enjoy a good 3-0 victory over Bolton in the last round of this competition. However, Spurs should provide much tougher opposition for the men from east London.

Their recent away record does not suggest that the visitors are set to pull off a shock, as they have won just one of their last six games on their travels. The solitary away victory came in the second round of this competition at Cheltenham.

This competition will not be a priority for either side, so both sides are likely to field weakened teams. However, Forebet predicts that the home side will have enough quality to record a victory and move into the next round.
