Fran Escriba’s side finished last season in mixed form, but they did suffer just one defeat in their last six La Liga matches, which came at Barcelona. They have also won four of their last six games in La Liga.
Villarreal have a very mixed record on their travels in La Liga, losing four and winning three of their last seven games on the road.
