Everton will look to get their Premier League campaign back on track when the Toffees host Swansea at Goodison Park.

Ronald Koeman’s side suffered a 5-0 humiliation at Chelsea in their last game prior to the international break. However, the Toffees will fancy their chances against a Swansea side positioned 19th in the Premier League table.

Everton’s recent form has been inconsistent, but The Toffees have a pretty good home record, as they are now unbeaten in their last eight Premier League outings on home soil. The side from Merseyside have also suffered just two defeats in 12 games against Swansea.

Swansea are in dire straits at the moment, second from bottom in the Premier League table. Their poor recent form has seen the Welsh side win just one of their last 12 top-flight games. To make matters worse the Welsh side have also suffered defeat in their last four Premier League games on their travels.

New boss Bob Bradley will be desperate for his team to claim a victory on Merseyside, but recent form suggests that could be an uphill struggle. A positive result at Everton will be made harder by the presence of Romelu Lukaku in the Toffees attack.

The Belgian international striker has scored seven times in the top-flight this season and bagged a brace for the Red Devils on international duty last time out. The former Chelsea striker will be licking his lips at the prospect of facing the joint-second worst defence in the Premier League.

There may be some hope for Swansea, though, as Everton have not beaten the Welsh side in the last five meetings in all competitions. The Welsh side even won 2-1 at Goodison Park last time these two teams met last season.

The win was their only ever triumph at Goodison Park and on current form, it seems a repeat of last season’s feat will be very difficult to accomplish.
