Premier League Fantasy Football Picks – Round 26

Premier League Fantasy Football Picks – Round 26
    06/02/20 4506

The upcoming Gameweek in Fantasy Premier League is spread across two weekends as teams enjoy somewhat of a winter break. There are four games this weekend, while the remaining six will be played next week.

This makes things a little bit tricky when it comes to making any alterations to your team, but let’s take a look at some of the Premier League’s in-form players that could make an impact in Round 26.

    Goalkeeper

    Bernd Leno – Arsenal

The Arsenal shot-stopper has one of the highest save percentages in the Premier League this season and has been one of the Gunners’ standout performers in a below par campaign. Arsenal have improved defensively under Mikel Arteta, so Leno will be hopeful of keeping back-to-back clean sheets against a low-scoring Newcastle side.

    Defenders

    Lucas Digne – Everton

Digne has two assists and two clean sheets in his last three home games. With the Toffees welcoming the division’s lowest scoring side – Crystal Palace – to Goodison Park on Saturday, the French full-back is likely to pick up plenty of points for FPL managers in Round 26.

    Antonio Rudiger – Chelsea

Chelsea may have conceded two goals in both of their previous two league games. But Manchester United are the Blues’ next opponents, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have struggled for goals all season. Rudiger also netted both his side’s goals against Leicester last time out, proving he’s a real threat from set-pieces.

    Midfielders

    Harvey Barnes – Leicester City

Barnes has taken his game to the next level recently, scoring three goals and notching up one assist in his last three appearances. The flying winger is cheaper than fellow Foxes midfielders James Maddison, Ayoze Perez and Youri Tielemans. So, not only is Barnes in red-hot form right now, he’s also an excellent value pick.

    Steven Bergwijn – Tottenham Hotspur

What a debut Tottenham’s new signing enjoyed last time out. Bergwijn joined Spurs from PSV during the January transfer window and made an immediate impact by scoring a sensational volley against Manchester City. Spurs fans – and FLP managers – will be hoping for more of the same from the Dutchman.

    Forwards

    Mbwana Samatta – Aston Villa

Another player who also scored on their Premier League debut was Villa’s new striker Mbwana Samatta. With Wesley set to miss the rest of the season through injury, Samatta is likely to lead the line for Dean Smith’s side as they battle to steer clear of the bottom three.

    Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – Arsenal

Aubameyang returned from a three-game ban last weekend but failed to get on the scoresheet as Burnley frustrated Arsenal. It’s only a matter of time before the lethal striker starts finding the back of the net again, and a home game against Newcastle provides Aubameyang with the perfect opportunity to return to scoring ways.
