With the Qatar World Cup drawing ever closer, Fantasy Premier League managers have just three Gameweeks to accumulate as many points as possible before the break.
Gameweek 14 gets underway on Saturday, with Leicester hosting Man City in the early-kick off. That means the deadline is set for 11:00 (BST), so be sure to lock in your team before then.
Before we take a look at the best FPL players for Gameweek 14, let’s check out the fixtures. After all, targeting favourable fixtures can be hugely beneficial to your overall rank.
Newcastle, Liverpool and Arsenal have favourable home fixtures this weekend, as they entertain Aston Villa, Leeds, and Nottm Forest, respectively.
Elsewhere, Man City, Tottenham, and Chelsea are expected to win on their travels. The other four clashes are more difficult to predict.
Without further ado, here are the best players for FPL Gameweek 14.
Believe it or not, Danny Ward (Leicester) has kept four clean sheets in the past five games. Although the Foxes face Man City this weekend, Ward will be confident of achieving another shutout on home soil.
Only Ederson (Man City) and Nick Pope (Newcastle) have kept more clean sheets than Ward this season. If you’re looking for a differential, Vicente Guaita (Crystal Palace) could do well against Southampton.
Kurt Zouma (West Ham) was the highest-scoring player in the previous round after netting a goal and keeping clean sheet. Timothy Castagne (Leicester) also continued to build on his recent form.
Given that Wolves are the league’s lowest scorers this term, Ben Mee (Brentford) and Rico Henry (Brentford) are worth considering this week. You could target Arsenal defenders, too, with low-scoring Forest visiting the Emirates.
Miguel Almiron (Newcastle) bagged his fifth goal in as many games last time out, meaning Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) is the only midfielder to have picked up more FPL points than Almiron this season.
Leon Bailey (Aston Villa) grabbed a goal and an assist as Villa thrashed Brentford 4-0 last weekend. Elsewhere, Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) and Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal) have the potential to run riot against Forest.
With question marks over the fitness of Erling Haaland (Man City), the captaincy debate is wide open. Harry Kane (Tottenham) is among the obvious replacements, along with Darwin Nunez (Liverpool).
When you look at the fixtures, Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal), Roberto Firmino (Liverpool), Ivan Toney (Brentford), Alexander Mitrovic (Fulham) and Callum Wilson (Newcastle) could prove to be great picks.
