The Premier League action comes thick and fast at this time of year. Gameweek 19 concludes with Newcastle vs. Man Utd on Monday night, with Gameweek 20 starting on Tuesday afternoon.
As it stands, eight games have survived postponement in Gameweek 20 (at least for now). Arsenal vs. Wolves and Leeds vs. Aston Villa are the only postponed clashes so far.
Let’s take a look at the current Gameweek 20 schedule.
Don’t be surprised to see more games being postponed in the coming days. With that in mind, it makes sense to refrain from stacking your squad with three players from the same team.
Here are the top FPL picks for Gameweek 20.
With the two highest-scoring goalkeepers – Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal) and Jose Sa (Wolves) – out of action in Gameweek 20, Edouard Mendy (Chelsea) is arguably the best goalkeeper available.
Ederson (Man City) and Alisson (Liverpool) also have favourable fixtures, making them sensible picks for Gameweek 20.
Hugo Lloris (Tottenham) and Robert Sanchez (Brighton) both kept a clean sheet in the previous round. This week, they come up against Southampton and Chelsea, respectively.
Kieran Tierney (Arsenal), Emerson Royal (Tottenham) and Aymeric Laporte (Man City) all posted double-digit scores in Gameweek 19.
Having netted a measly eight goals in 18 games, Norwich as the lowest scorers in the Premier League. That makes the likes of Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace), Tyrick Mitchell (Crystal Palace) and Joachim Andersen (Crystal Palace) excellent options.
In-form differential defenders include Davinson Sanchez (Tottenham) – who is owned by just 1.5% of FPL managers – and Marc Cucurella (Brighton).
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Diogo Jota (Liverpool) and Sadio Mane (Liverpool) will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing a Leicester defence that conceded six goals against Man City on Boxing Day.
Lucas Moura (Tottenham) picked up a whopping 17 points in the previous round. There were also big hauls for Jorginho (Chelsea), Raheem Sterling (Man City) and James Ward-Prowse (Southampton).
Newcastle have the worst defensive record in the division. For that reason, Demarai Gray (Everton) and Abdoulaye Doucoure (Everton) are worth considering for Gameweek 20.
Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester) and Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea) both reached double figures in the previous round. Lukaku has looked sharp since returning from injury.
There were also goals for Neal Maupay (Brighton), Harry Kane (Tottenham), Michail Antonio (West Ham) and Armando Broja (Southampton) on Boxing Day.
With Salah and Mane set to head to the Africa Cup of Nations next month, it might be time to bring in Roberto Firmino (Liverpool).
