Lorient are on a bad run of form to end the season. They will hope to end at home on a high note against 15th-place Strasbourg. Lorient posted a record of 2W-3D-1L against Strasbourg in their last six games in all competitions. The teams drew 1-1 earlier in the campaign.
Strasbourg are on a good run of form, having taken 11 points from the last 18 points on offer. Racing are unbeaten in four straight matches, with two wins and two draws.
Lorient managed just seven points from the last six games. Their last two matches ended in defeat. Lorient were outscored 5-1 in those two games.
Nantes and Angers will meet for the third time this season in all competitions. Both previous games ended as draws after 90 minutes.
Nantes must win and hope Auxerre draw or lose to second-place Lens to retain their Ligue 1 status. A loss, draw, or Auxerre win would see the Canaries doomed to Ligue 2. Nantes are in awful form, as they took two points from the last six matches, scoring just three times.
Angers were relegated long ago. The Black and White’s form has picked up somewhat since relegation was confirmed. They picked up four points from their last two games.
The last four matches in all competitions between Reims and Montpellier ended as draws. The reverse fixture saw the teams finish 1-1. Just eight goals were scored by the teams combined in the last four matches.
Reims cooled off after a great middle of the campaign. The Reds took just four points from the last six games in Ligue 1. Goals have been an issue for Reims for most of the season. They scored just four times across the last six games, and the defence conceded 10 goals.
Montpellier’s form improved as the season wore on. The team goes into the final day after taking 10 points from the last six games. However, Montpellier are coming off a 3-2 loss to Nice.
Troyes will spend next season in Ligue 2 after relegation was confirmed recently. On Saturday, the Blues can play spoiler for Lille. Les Dogues are fourth in the division and just one point ahead of sixth-place Monaco. A loss for Lille could see them fall out of the European qualification places.
Lille are on a two-game winning streak. Qualification to the Europa League is in the hands of Les Dogues. A win would secure qualification. Anything less and qualification would depend on results elsewhere. Lille failed to win their last four away matches in Ligue 1.
Troyes failed to win their last six games in the division. In the reverse fixture, Lille hammered Troyes 5-1. However, Troye won the last two matches versus Lille at home. The Blues could shock Lille and end Les Dogues’ hopes of making Europe.
