With a few months left in the big European football leagues, it seems that the league titles in the Premier League, Serie A and the Bundesliga have already been decided.

On Saturday Chelsea, who have been out in front for a while now at the top of the Premier League win against Stoke City. The Blues needed an 87th-minute winner from centre-back Gary Cahill to record a 2-1 victory at midtable Stoke.

The victory moved Antonio Conte’s side 10 points clear at the top of the table, after Tottenham's win against Southampton and Manchester City drawn with Liverpool.

Over in Italy, Conte’s former club Juventus are currently eight points clear at the top Serie A as they defeat Sampdoria on Sunday. While the gap in points is smaller than in the Premier League, history tells us that the Bianconeri are unlikely to throw away that sort of lead.

The men from Turin are looking to make it six straight Scudetto’s and it seems they are unlikely to be stopped in their quest to retain their mantle of Italian champions.

The Bundesliga has been dominated by Bavarian giants Bayern Munich in recent years. This year is no different, as Die Bayern are currently 13 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.

It seems the only major European league’s where the title has not already been settled are the Spanish and the French top-flight's. There is still plenty of football to be played, but it seems Chelsea, Juventus and Bayern Munich already have one hand on the trophies of their domestic leagues.
