Meanwhile, Sunderland and Blackburn will meet in a top-eight clash.
Hull City and Leeds United will meet for the first time since 2020 on Wednesday. The Tigers started the season well and are fifth after six games. Leeds are up to 10th in the division, as Daniel Farke irons out the issues at Elland Road.
Leeds United went unbeaten in their last four games, picking up eight points from 12. The Whites are coming off a 3-0 win away to Millwall. Joel Piroe scored twice in the win. Leeds won their last two away games.
Hull City went unbeaten in their last five matches in the Championship. They drew 1-1 with Coventry City over the weekend. It was their second draw in three matches. Hull took five points from their opening nine at home.
The last five meetings between Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland saw the home team claim the win. Last season, Blackburn and Sunderland split their season series, with Rovers winning 2-0 at home and the Black Cats claiming a 2-1 win at the Stadium of Light.
Blackburn took 10 points from the opening six games. Their form has been up and down. Rovers won two and lost two of their last four games.
Sunderland went unbeaten in their last four matches, winning their last two fixtures. The Black Cats scored eight goals in their last two matches combined.
Watford took four points from six last season against West Brom. The Hornets will look for a third straight match without a loss against the Baggies on Wednesday.
West Brom will face their former manager Valerien Ismael. Watford are happy with the new manager and are prepared to offer him a new deal. Watford haven’t been great this season, however. They took eight points from the opening six games. The Hornets are unbeaten in their last two games.
The Baggies also started the new campaign slowly, taking eight points from the opening six matches. West Brom failed to win their last two Championship matches. West Brom conceded nine times in their opening six fixtures.
Leicester City went unbeaten in five of their last six matches against Norwich City in all competitions. However, these teams have not met since the 2021-22 Premier League season.
Leicester City are second in the standings, with 15 points from six matches. Enzo Maresca’s team won 4-1 against Southampton at the weekend. The Foxes are the Championship’s best away team, with three wins from three games.
Norwich City are fourth in the table after taking 13 points from the opening six games. They claimed a 1-0 win over Stoke at the weekend. Norwich scored the most goals, 15, in the league after six matches.
