AEK Athens will host PAS Lamia 1964, as they attempt to chase down Panathinaikos at the top of the table. AEK go into the midweek match in second place and eight points behind Panathinaikos.
Lamia are 11th in the 14-team league. The team failed to win its last six games in the Super League. AEK Athens posted a 3-0 win earlier this season against Lamia. Lamia lost five of their last six games versus AEK.
The home team is unbeaten in six straight Super League games. Five straight AEK Athens home games ended as wins and confidence is high that they will pick up a sixth straight win on their home turf.
Aster Tripolis posted a record of 3W-2D-1L against Volos NFC in the teams’ last six head-to-head meetings. The teams met in August with the game ending in a wild 3-3 draw at full-time.
Volos are fifth in the standings ahead of round No 14. Volos took 10 points from the last six matches in the Super League, scoring nine goals but conceding 12 times.
Aster Tripolis are ninth in the standings after 13 fixtures. The team isn’t in great form, as just six points were picked up from the last six games. Aster Tripolis were outscored 7-5 across the last six games.
Olympiacos dominated the last six Super League fixtures against PAS Giannina with five wins and one draw. In August, Olympiacos eased by PAS Giannina with a 2-0 victory.
After a poor start to the season, which saw Olympiacos go through two managers, they are now winning points. Olympiacos are unbeaten in five straight Super League games. They took 11 points from the last 15 points available.
Giannina are 12th in the 14-team league. They are on a three-game losing streak and limp into the match with Olympiacos with a mere five points from the last 18 points on offer.
Ionikos will host the Super League leaders on Wednesday. Panathinaikos already produced a 1-0 win against Ionikos this season. Indeed, the last two matches between these teams ended as 1-0 victories for Panathinaikos.
Panathinaikos won 12 of their last 13 Super League matches. The Greens are in great form and could win their first Super League since 2010. Pana took 16 points from the last 18 points available, scoring 12 goals and conceding twice.
Ionikos are bottom of the Super League table ahead of Wednesday’s visit from Pana. They are on a two-game losing streak in the league. Ionikos have the Super League’s worst home points total with four points from six games. They have not won at home this term.
