The Championship’s round No. 15 will take place this week, as one of the world’s most competitive leagues continues. Burnley surged to the top of the table at the weekend with a win against Swansea. However, just three points separate first-place Burnley and sixth-place Reading ahead of round 15.

    Birmingham City - Burnley

Burnley defeated Swansea 4-0 at the weekend to move into first place courtesy of goal difference. The Clarets will visit 12th-place Birmingham City on Wednesday night, as they seek to extend their winning streak to three games.

Birmingham City are also on a two-game winning streak in the league. They are unbeaten in five of their last six games and should be full of confidence for Wednesday’s home match.

Burnley edged the last six games between these teams with a record of 2W-3D-1L. However, these teams have not played since 2016. Burnley’s only loss this season occurred on the road against Watford.

Middlesbrough are unbeaten in six straight games in all competitions against Wigan Athletic. The Championship has not been kind to Middlesbrough this term. They are on a two-game losing streak ahead of Wednesday night.

Wigan Athletic are fresh off a 2-1 loss to Sunderland away. They took just six points from the last 18 points on offer in the Championship.
