Stuttgart are 16th in the league and sit in the relegation-playoff position. Union Berlin will hope to take advantage of Stuttgart’s poor play to stay atop the Bundesliga standings. Five of the last six games between these teams ended as draws.
The Irons have a European match on Thursday night which could lead them to take their eyes off the Bundesliga. Union are coming off their first Bundesliga loss this season, a 2-0 defeat away to Eintracht Frankfurt.
