Dortmund and Paris played in the Champions League group stage, with the latter taking four points from six in the division.
The match in France saw PSG win 2-0 and the follow up finished 1-1 at Signal Iduna Park.
This will be the clubs’ seventh meeting in all competitions since 2010. PSG slightly edged Dortmund in those head-to-head fixtures with a record of 2W-3D-1L.
The pressure will be on Dortmund to get a result at home to take to Paris for the second leg.
Dortmund are not in form ahead of the first leg at home. They failed to win their last two Bundesliga games.
A 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen, in which they conceded a second-half stoppage-time goal, was followed by a 4-1 loss to RB Leipzig at the weekend.
PSG drew 3-3 with Le Havre at the weekend. The Parisians came from 2-1 down at halftime to draw at home with the relegation-battlers. The draw ended a three-match winning streak for PSG in all competitions.
Kylian Mbappe has scored 43 goals this season in all competitions. The striker is also the goal scoring stats leader in the Champions League.
He has eight goals in the competition, which is one more than Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane.
Dortmund’s Niclas Fullkrug leads the team in goals with 14 in all competitions. Meanwhile, Donyell Malen has 13 goals.
Mbappe scored in the first meeting this season between the clubs, while Karim Adeyemi scored Dortmund’s only goal in the two fixtures.
Although PSG are in better form, they did not top Group F. Rather, Dortmund topped the group stage with 11 points.
Paris Saint-Germain finished the group with eight points, level with third-place AC Milan. Paris only went through thanks to goal difference.
The group stage match between these clubs at Signal Iduna Park ended in a draw. With the Yellow Wall behind them, Borussia Dortmund should snatch a draw once more.
