It is now or never for Koln in the race for survival. However, the Billy Goats do not have their fate in their own hands. Freiburg won each of their last three matches versus Koln. They didn’t concede a single goal to the Billy Goats during that time.
Freiburg can still finish sixth and qualify for Europe. However, a lack of form could haunt them. Freiburg failed to win their last two matches. A 1-1 draw with Mainz was followed by a 2-1 loss to Wolfsburg.
Koln took one point from the last three games in the league. They scored just one time across those three games. No Bundesliga team has scored fewer goals than Koln’s 24.
Bochum ran riot against Union Berlin earlier this season, claiming a 3-0 win. Indeed, Bochum are unbeaten in their last three matches versus Union, winning twice and drawing once.
Bochum are coming off a 3-2 win against Hoffenheim. The victory ended a five-match winless run. Bochum have conceded the league’s third-most goals, with 62.
Union failed to score in six of their last eight league matches. They are the league’s second-worst goalscorers, behind Koln, with just 26 goals from 31 games. Union failed to win their last five matches, picking up just two points in that time.
