The race for the K-League 2 title is heating up. After 20 rounds, Gyeongnam FC and Gimcheon Sangmu are tied at the top of the table with 36 points.
Busan I’Park and FC Anyang are just behind the league leaders, with 34 points.
Jeonnam Dragons won just one of their last six games against Ansan Greeners FC. The reverse fixture saw the Greeners win 1-0 at home.
The Dragons are seventh in the standings and eight points off first place. They went unbeaten in their last four league matches, winning twice and drawing twice. Three of those four games finished with over 2.5 goals.
Ansan Greeners FC are on a run of rotten form. They lost each of their last six K-League 2 games. The team is 12th in the 13-team league, with 10 points from 19 games. Ansan won just twice in their opening 19 matches, but one of those wins was against Jeonnam Dragons earlier this season.
Seongnam FC will host Gyeongnam FC, with three massive points up for grabs. Gyeongnam went unbeaten in their last six games against Seongnam, posting four wins and two draws. The teams drew 2-2 earlier this season in Gyeongnam.
Gyeongnam FC took 15 points from their last six matches in the league. However, they lost 2-0 to Jeonnam last time out. No team has scored more goals in the league this season than Gyeongnam FC’s 36. Their last six games all saw over 2.5 goals.
Seongnam went unbeaten in their last three games, taking five points from nine on offer. They are ninth in the league currently. Seongnam have been very inconsistent in winning matches this season. They secured just six wins from 20 games.
Seoul E-Land FC went unbeaten in their last five matches against Gimpo FC in all competitions. The reverse fixture finished nil-nil, as E-Land had a player sent off. Two of the last four games between these clubs had a red card.
Gimp FC won just one of their last six matches. They have the league’s best defence, conceding a mere 12 times. Gimpo are not a strong scoring team. They tallied just 21 goals, the third-fewest in the division.
Seoul E-Land are winless in their last three games, taking two points from nine available. They are eighth in the league standings. Seoul lost their last two home matches in the division.
FC Anyang won their last two matches against Cheonan City FC. The club posted a 4-0 win away from home against Cheonan City earlier this season.
Cheonan are the worst team in the K-League 2 this season. City are 13th in the 13-team league. They took four points from the opening 19 games. City have not won a match this season. Cheonan City scored the fewest goals (14) and conceded the most (43).
FC Anyang are fourth in the standings and two points off first place. The team is coming off a 3-2 away win against Chungnam Asan. The win ended a two-game losing streak.
