Botafogo head to the Gremio Arena to meet with Gremio in the Brazilian Serie A where both sides sit in contrasting areas of the league table, and Forebet has looked at the trends that have caused this, our football predictions, and more of the latest analysis, stats and mathematics.
It’s been another excellent season so far for Botafogo after they finished fifth in the Brazilian Serie A last year and only ended up six points adrift of the eventual league winners, Palmeiras.

They were in a title race throughout most of the season, and ultimately fell short towards the end of the season by drawing four and losing one of their final five games of the campaign.
Right now, Botafogo are sitting third in the league table and have so far won five games and lost only twice. In fact, with 14 goals on the board as well, only Flamengo have scored more, and the latter sit in first place and are only ahead of Botafogo by one point.
The club are also on a winning run right now in the league, having secured a 1-0 victory over Fluminense thanks to a goal from Bartolomeu Jacinto Quissanga, as they also beat Corinthians by the same scoreline when Junior Santos scored once more on the road.
Further wins in the Copa Libertadores over Universitario and LDU Quito within the past month mean a lengthy unbeaten run in all competitions, as they've also managed to draw with Unior in that competition, draw with Fortaleza in the league, and beat Vitoria 3-1 over two legs in the Copa do Brasil third round.
The last loss for Botafogo came back in April, as Cruzeiro defeated them 3-2. Since then, they've also managed to smash Juventude 5-1 and Atletico Goianiense 1-0 and also get a 2-0 victory over the league leaders Flamengo.
As for Gremio, they are sitting in 13th ahead of this clash, in what has been another underwhelming season so far for them. Gremio were in action during the week, as they lost to Flamengo, despite Edenilson scoring in the 96th minute of the game.
This was also the third game in a row they have failed to get a league win after a loss to Bahia and RB Bragantino as well. Forebet now predicts a win for Botafogo and under 2.5 goals.
