Manchester United extended their unbeaten run with an excellent performance in the Manchester derby, while Liverpool and Leicester both returned to winning ways. Chelsea battered Everton on Sunday, while the bottom five all lost on Matchday 29.

Liverpool returned to winning ways by coming from behind to beat Bournemouth at Anfield. Callum Wilson gave the Cherries the lead on 9 minutes, but Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane both scored before half time to seal the win for the Reds. Liverpool remain 15 points clear at the top, while Bournemouth are still in the relegation zone.
Both sides managed just one shot on target as Wolves hosted Brighton in a dull encounter at Molineux. The match ended goalless, but Brighton will be disappointed with their efforts after enjoying the majority of the possession. Wolves are unbeaten in five, while the Seagulls are without a win in nine.
Substitute Alexandre Lacazette came off the bench to score the only goal of the game as Arsenal edged West Ham. Despite recording 14 shots, the Hammers failed to find a way through, and they were made to pay for their wastefulness late one. Lacazette was introduced after 59 minutes and scored the winner on 78.
Allan Saint-Maximin seized on a defensive blunder from Yan Valery to give Newcastle all three points with 10 minutes to go at St. Mary’s. Moussa Djenepo was sent off midway through the first half for Southampton, and the home side struggled to make an impact on the game following the red card.
Sheffield United kept their European dreams alive with a solid performance against bottom club Norwich. Billy Sharp scored the only goal of the game – heading home from an excellent John Lundstram cross – to keep the Blades two points behind fifth-place Manchester United and five shy of fourth-place Chelsea with a game in hand.
Jordan Ayew scored in back-to-back games for just the second time this season to gift Crystal Palace a precious three points against Watford. The Eagles are now 12 points clear of the bottom three, while the Hornets are only out of the relegation zone on goal difference.
Burnely notched up a whopping 21 shots against Tottenham at Turf Moor, but the game eventually finished level. Chris Wood put the hosts in front on 13 minutes, but Dele Alli’s second-half penalty rescued a point for Jose Mourinho’s men.
Chelsea hammered Everton 4-0 to move to within five points of third-place Leicester. Mason Mount and Pedro netted before the break, while Willian and Olivier Giroud completed the scoring early in the second half. The Toffees managed just one shot on target and have slipped down to 12th.
The Red Devils claimed the local bragging rights in the Manchester derby as two Ederson mistakes led to goals. The Man City goalkeeper failed to keep out Anthony Martial’s shot at his near post before gifting the ball to Scott McTominay deep into added time. McTominay put the ball into an empty net from long range to cap off a fine display from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
Harvey Barnes and Jamie Vardy both scored twice as Leicester thrashed Midlands rivals Aston Villa 4-0 at the King Power Stadium. Relegation strugglers Villa were lackluster throughout the game and remain second from bottom. Meanwhile, the Foxes appear to be back to their best following a rough patch.
