With only a handful of fixtures remaining for each club in the English Premier League, talk is already beginning to turn towards the summer. There is the 2020 European Championship to be played, which was unable to take place last summer because of COVID-19. However, for Premier League clubs, the transfer market will be open and their only concern will be recruitment.

If there is one striker who is going to be in more demand than most it is Harry Kane. The Tottenham Hotspur man has remained loyal to the club throughout his career but that could be about to change in the summer.

It appears as though Spurs are going to struggle to qualify for the Champions League this season and that would be the perfect excuse for Kane to leave the club. Speaking after picking up the award for the Premier League Player of the Year at the 2021 London Football Awards, Kane said, "When I look back at the end of my career, these are all the things I'll go over and take in a little bit more, but the goal right now as a player is to win team trophies.”

With Sergio Aguero coming to the end of his time at Manchester City, Pep Guardiola sure to be in the market for a new striker. If Manchester City were to make a move for the England international, it will be difficult for Kane to turn down, even if there is interest from other clubs.

Manchester United have also been mentioned in the conversation but if Manchester City go on to reach the Champions League final in addition to winning the Premier League this season, they are going to be hard to resist for a player who wants to win team trophies.

There have been recent rumours circulating regarding the future of another English striker. Tammy Abraham has found his playing time at Chelsea severely reduced since the introduction of Thomas Tuchel as manager. It has been reported the club are willing to listen to offers for the striker in the summer and that will alert West Ham United.

The Hammers have found themselves short in the striking department this season following the sale of Sebastian Haller to Ajax. Abraham has proved he can score goals at the highest level and if West Ham qualify for the Champions League, he could be interested in a move to the London Stadium. However, the potential asking price of £45 million could be a stumbling block as far as West Ham are concerned.

As we have mentioned above, Sergio Aguero will be leaving Manchester City on a free transfer this summer and that is sure to alert several Premier League clubs. Everton, Chelsea, Leeds United, and Tottenham Hotspur are among those believed to be interested in the Argentine.

Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku has been linked with a move back to former Premier League club, Chelsea. The Belgian international striker has enjoyed a tremendous season with Inter Milan, scoring plenty of goals and leading them to the Serie A title. However, it would take a massive bid for Inter Milan to sell the striker and even then, Lukaku may not fancy a return to Stamford Bridge.
