We are already 10% of the way through the new Premier League season, and while the usual suspects are going about their business, there are also some fresh faces making an impact.

Let’s take a look at five players who had never previously featured in the Premier League, but have started the season in red-hot form.

Sebastien Haller – West Ham United

West Ham United signed French striker Sebastien Haller from Eintracht Frankfurt for a club record £45m. The 25-year-old scored 15 Bundesliga goals last season while notching up 9 assists and has already become only the fourth Hammers player to score 3 goals in his first 3 matches for the club. West Ham have been crying out for a consistent striker in recent times, and if the early signs are anything to go by, Haller is set to be a real hit with the Hammers.

    Daniel James – Manchester United

The speedy Welsh winger has adapted to Premier League life seamlessly since moving from Swansea City to Manchester United in the summer transfer window. It was unclear if he would get much game time this season, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given James plenty of opportunities to express himself. The 21-year-old has scored 3 goals in the opening 4 matches of the season at an impressive rate of 95 minutes per goal. With the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku leaving the club, James is likely to play an important rule for United this term.

    Teemu Pukki – Norwich City

Many doubted whether Teemu Pukki would be able to make the step up from the Championship to the Premier League, but he has made the transition look easy. After firing Nowrich City to the second-tier title last season – top scoring with 29 goals – the Finland striker already has 5 goals and an assist from 4 top-flight matches, including a hat-trick against Newcastle United. 11 of Pukki’s 13 shots have found the target so far this season, and if he continues to be so clinical in front of goal, he will find the back of the net on many more occasions this campaign.

    Harry Wilson – Bournemouth

Harry Wilson is finally getting his chance in the Premier League and is certainly making the most of it. Following an eye-catching season with Derby County last year, the Liverpool loanee has been snapped up by Bournemouth and has 2 goals to his name so far this campaign. His ability from long-range and set-piece situations is frightening, and with Bournemouth’s lengthy injury list, Wilson is likely to be given plenty more opportunities to showcase his talents this season.

    John Lundstram – Sheffield United

When John Lundstram scored the winner against Crystal Palace in Sheffield United’s second match back in the big time, he ensured that he had scored in each of the top four divisions of English football. The 25-year-old has had a tough journey to reach the Premier League but has been one of the Blades’ standout performers so far this season. Sheff Utd currently sit tenth in the table, and if Lundstram can continue to produce top-rate performances throughout the campaign, it will go a long way to helping his side avoid the drop this term.
