Bournemouth make a strong start to the Premier League campaign

Bournemouth are unbeaten in the Premier League this season, having recovered from two goals down to draw with Everton 2-2 at the Vitality Stadium last time out.

The draw means the Cherries have taken seven points from their opening three top-flight games this season, including winning their opening two games.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is one of best the up and coming young English bosses in the game, and his ideas are the reason for the Cherries current early season position.

Sticks to his idea of attacking football.

Howe is a man with a plan. Although in his playing days he was a centre-back, the 40-year-old’s football philosophy is based on attacking possession-based football. Some may say he is stubborn in his approach.

However, his brand of football has earned the Cherries promotion from the fourth tier of English football and kept the team from the south coast in the Premier League for three seasons and counting.

The only criticism Howe seems to attract is that his teams are vulnerable in defence. Maybe this season he can find a solution to making his team more solid in defence, as that would maybe move the Cherries to the next level.

A top-half finish not out of the question this season.

It may only be early in the league campaign, but the Cherries look to be a dangerous opponent in the Premier League. Not many teams will enjoy a comfortable afternoon against Howe’s side, which is a testament to the team that Eddie Howe has built on the south coast.

As the seasons roll on, Howe seems to be adding more quality to his team. Adding quality players will lead to better performances and higher league finishes.

The Cherries have only ever finished in the Premier League top-ten once. However, from what they have shown so far this season a top-ten finish is not out of the question this season.
