    Bournemouth showing impressive ambition

Bournemouth completed the £3million signing of young Liverpool left-back Adam Smith on Wednesday. The deal for the 22-year-old could rise to a potential fee of £6million with appearances and various other add-ons.

The Cherries and boss Eddie Howe are not messing about in the transfer market. The Cherries most notable signing of the summer was that of winger Jordon Ibe, also from Liverpool. The £15million fee was a club-record and Australian international Smith has followed his team teammate to the south coast.

The Dorset-based club has now signed six players this summer, all aged 22 or under. They club are obviously very much looking to the future. The Cherries squad that earned promotion to the Premier League was a relatively old one, with a number of experienced players in their squad.

The amount of money invested in new players by the club shows that they have complete faith in boss Howe, who was recently linked with the England manager’s job. The 38-year-old has done a fantastic job at Dean Court, earning three promotions.

The last three transfer windows Bournemouth have been ambitious in the transfer market. The team survived their debut campaign with ease last season. The Cherries did it playing stylish football as well.

Bournemouth Football Club has come an awfully long way in the past half a decade, from near bankruptcy to the top-flight in fact.  Howe has been an impressive squad of players over the past few windows.

The club from the south coast started last season as one of the favourites for relegation. However, courtesy of clever management and ambition in the transfer market, the Cherries are unlikely to be near the danger in the coming season.
