Due to the pandemic, the market value of football players has declined. But there are still a number of stars that are worth in excess of €100m.

Let’s take a look at the five most value football players in the world right now, based on Transfermarkt’s valuation.

    • Kylian Mbappe (PSG) – €160m

Believe it or not – Kylian Mbappe is still just 22. However, the French forward is already the most valuable player on the planet.

Having notched up 27 goals and 16 assists in 60 games for Monaco, Mbappe currently sits on 125 goals and 60 assists in 165 appearances for PSG.

Let’s not forget that Mbappe also scored four goals en route to guiding France to World Cup glory in 2018. A future Ballon d’Or winner?

    • Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) – €120m

Harry Kane’s market value skyrocketed from €80m in 2017 to €150m in 2018, before dropping to €120m due to the current economic climate. But the Tottenham striker still finds himself second on this list.

Not only has he netted 219 goals in 330 games for Spurs, but he has also scored 34 goals in 53 appearances for England.

Kane has shown great loyalty to Tottenham over the years, but it is surely only a matter of time before leaves for a bigger club.

    • Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund) – €110m

It feels as though every major European club is hopeful of signing Erling Haaland. But with a mammoth market value of €110m, who can afford him?

Since joining Borussia Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg, the lethal Norwegian has racked up 51 goals in 54 matches.

Haaland is also the fastest and youngest player to reach the 20-goal milestone in the Champions League, achieving the feat in just 14 games.

    • Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – €110m

At his peak, Mohamed Salah was valued at €150m before the pandemic. However, his market value has now dropped to €110m.

Nobody could have predicted what Salah would achieve when he left Roma for Liverpool in 2017. Four years later, he has chalked up 122 goals and 45 assists in 197 appearances for the Anfield outfit.

    • Neymar (PSG) – €110m

Neymar smashed the transfer record when he joined PSG from Barcelona for a monumental €222m back in 2017.

Of course, the Parisians paid over the odds for the Brazilian star. But Neymar is still valued at a whopping €110m.
