Arsenal will be hoping to avoid an upset when they travel to Bramall Lane to face last-place Sheffield United on Sunday afternoon.

The Blades find themselves seven points adrift at the bottom of the Premier League table and 15 points from safety. Needless to say, relegation is all but guaranteed.

On the flip side, the Gunners currently sit tenth in the standings, although they are ten points behind the Champions League places.

Given that Sheff Utd have only managed to win four of their last 33 Premier League games, they only have themselves to blame for their current position.

To make matters worse, the Blades are the lowest scorers in the league this season, having netted just 17 goals in 30 matches.

Things were looking up for Sheff Utd when they picked up three wins in five games after the turn of the year.

However, they have since lost seven of their last eight league matches, including each of their previous three.

It is also worth noting that Sheff Utd have conceded a combined total of nine goals across their last three matches – scoring just once in reply.

Arsenal were enjoying a four-match unbeaten streak in the Premier League before meeting Liverpool last weekend.

But the Gunners suffered a 3-0 loss to the Reds last time out, seeing just 35% on home soil, as well as recording just two shots on target.

Arsenal have now lost four of their previous nine Premier League matches, picking up three wins and two draws in the process.

Last time out, Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw by Slavia Prague in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie.

Nicolas Pepe thought he’d won the game for his side on 86 minutes, only for Slavia to score a stoppage-time equaliser.

Head-to-head: Arsenal beat Sheffield United 2-1 earlier in the campaign, thanks to goals from Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe.

That means Arsenal have only lost one of their last six meetings with the Blades, claiming four wins in that time.

Team news: Sheff Utd have been hampered by injuries throughout the 2020/21 campaign, with eight first-team players currently sidelined.

Arsenal will be without David Luiz and Kieran Tierney this weekend, while Martin Odegaard is also a doubt.

The Gunners only just scraped past the Blades earlier in the season, and a similar result is expected this time around.

Forebet predicts that Arsenal will edge out Sheff Utd by one goal on Sunday, with both teams likely to get on the scoresheet.
