There are three Premier League games for us to enjoy this week, with Burnley hosting Leicester City at Turf Moor in one of the two early kick-offs.

A three-match winless run has kept Burnley fifteenth in the table – just five points clear of the relegation zone.

At the other end of the standings, Leicester remain third – four points clear of fourth-place West Ham – despite losing to Arsenal on Sunday.

Burnley have only managed to win seven of their 26 Premier League games this season, recording seven draws and 12 defeats along the way.

Having scored just 18 goals in 2020/21, Sean Dyche’s men are the second-lowest scorers in the division – second only to last-place Sheffield United.

Following back-to-back draws with fellow strugglers Fulham and West Brom, Burnley were totally outclassed by Tottenham last time out.

Dyche’s men suffered a humiliating 4-0 loss at the hands of Spurs on Sunday, facing 16 shots while finishing the game with 40% possession.

Burnley have especially struggled at home this term, winning just one of their previous eight matches at Turf Moor in all competitions.

By contrast, Leicester have enjoyed playing away from home this season – avoiding defeat in each of their last 11 away trips in all competitions.

Looking at the bigger picture – the Foxes have only lost three of their previous 18 matches in all competitions.

However, following impressive victories over Liverpool and Aston Villa at the end of February, Brendan Rodgers’ side were beaten 3-1 by Arsenal on Sunday.

Youri Tielemans gave Leicester the lead after just six minutes against the Gunners, yet Mikel Arteta’s men fought back and eventually stole all three points.

The Foxes are still in firm control of their push for a Champions League finish this season, although they can’t afford many more slip-ups.

Head-to-head: Leicester thrashed Burnley 4-2 in the reverse fixture back in September, meaning the Foxes have only lost one of their last five meetings with the Clarets.

Burnley beat Leicester 2-1 last term, although the Foxes have won three of their previoys four matches against Dyche’s side.

Team news: Burnley will be without Ashley Barnes and Johann Berg Gudmundsson on Wednesday, while Robbie Brady and Erik Pieters are also injury doubts.

Leicester’s injury list continues to grow at the moment, with Harvey Barnes, Ayoze Perez, Dennis Praet, James Justin and Wes Morgan all ruled out for Wednesday’s game.

Given Burnley’s serious lack of threat in attack, it is difficult to imagine Sean Dyche’s men getting anything from Wednesday’s match.

Forebet predicts that Leicester will keep a clean sheet on their way to victory over Burnley, with over 1.5 goals also expected to be scored.
