Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw away at Verona last time out, slipping further behind AC and Inter Milan in the race for the Serie A title.

Spezia only managed a 2-2 draw at home to relegation battlers Parma at the weekend and remain firmly in the bottom half of the Serie A table.

Serie A giants, Juventus, ran out comfortable 4-1 winners when they met Spezia in November for the pair’s reverse league fixture, with Cristiano Ronaldo helping himself to a brace.

Both teams have scored in each of the three previous meetings between these two clubs and over 3.5 goals have been produced in each of the pair’s last two head-to-heads.

Juventus haven’t been in the most consistent of form lately, picking up two wins, two draws and two defeats from their last six outings. Spezia’s form hasn’t been any better though, with the visitors picking up two wins, one draw and three defeats from their last six matches in league and cup.

Both teams have scored in two of Juventus’ last three matches and over 2.5 goals have been scored in two of those three games as well.

Three of Spezia’s last six matches have also ended with both teams getting on the scoreboard and over 2.5 goals have been produced in four of their last six fixtures.

Danilo is suspended for Tuesday’s clash, while Morata, Dybala, Chiellini, Bonucci, Cuadrado and Arthur could all miss out through injury and illness.

With so many key players possibly missing for Tuesday’s clash, Juventus will have to be at their best to win as Spezia have largely a full-strength squad for the trip to Turin, bar Rafael and Marchizza who will face late fitness tests.

Juventus are the big favourites to win on Tuesday with all of the bookmakers and with Cristiano Ronaldo in their squad, that’s no surprise.

Ronaldo has netted 19 goals in Serie A this season and top scores in Italy. N’Zola has been a danger for Spezia this season and is just one goal away from reaching double figures in Serie A this season.
