Leicester City’s Europa League Round of 32 tie against Slavia Prague is finely poised as the two sides prepare to clash for the second leg at the King Power Stadium on Thursday.

Following a goalless first leg in the Czech Republic, both teams will be confident of advancing to the Round of 16 this week.

Leicester extended their unbeaten streak in the Premier League to four games with a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday.

Recent wins over Fulham and Liverpool, along with a draw against Wolves, have seen the Foxes cement third place in the table – level on 49 points with second-place Manchester United.

Brendan Rodgers’ men narrowly edge the possession in the first leg while recording eight shots at Eden Arena.

However, after only managing to register one shot on target last week, it goes without saying that Leicester will need to be more clinical on Thursday.

The Foxes have won six of their previous seven Europa League matches, so they head into the second leg as the bookmakers’ favourites.

Having said that, Slavia Prague have also managed to win five of their last six games in the Europa League.

The Czech outfit secured impressive wins over Bayer Leverkusen, Nice and Hapoel Beer Sheva during the group stage.

Slavia were held to a 1-1 draw by Teplice on Sunday, although they are still unbeaten in the Czech top-flight this term.

16 wins and four draws in 20 games have enabled the Prague side to open up an eight-point lead over rivals Sparta at the top of the table.

Remarkably, Slavia have conceded just 12 domestic goals this term while scoring a whopping 58 in reply.

Head-to-head: Leicester and Slavia Prague had never faced each other before the Europa League Round of 32 this season.

The first leg was relatively evenly matched, although Leicester are expected to benefit from the home advantage this time around.

Team news: Wes Morgan, James Justin, Ayoze Perez, Wesley Fofana and Dennis Praet are all currently sidelined for Leicester, while James Maddison is also an injury doubt.

Meanwhile, Slavia Prague will be without Petr Sevcik, Yusuf, David Hovorka, Stanislav Tecl, Mick van Buren and Tomas Holes on Thursday.

Slavia pushed Leicester close in the first leg, but the Foxes’ Premier League quality is expected to shine through in the second leg.

Forebet predicts that Leicester will net over 1.5 goals and keep a clean sheet on their way to beating Slavia Prague on Thursday.
