Tuesday night sees a massive game at both ends of the Championship takes place at St Andrews, as relegation-threatened Birmingham host promotion-chasing Norwich.

Birmingham head into this clash in a perilous position in the Championship table. The Blues find themselves just two points above the relegation zone. One positive for Aitor Karanka’s team is that they do have games in hand on the two teams directly below them.

Despite the games in hand, it is still a worrying position for the home side to be in at this stage of the season. A 1-0 win at relegation rivals Sheffield Wednesday last time out could prove to be vital in City’s hopes of survival.

The victory over the Owls ended a six-game winless run in the Championship for Birmingham, who had also lost their previous three league games too.

A big issue that the home side need to address is their woeful home form, as they have failed to win in 11 league games on home soil while losing on nine occasions. A win in this game would be a big achievement.

While Birmingham are fighting just to stay in the Championship, Norwich are hoping to escape the second tier to the Premier League via promotion.

Things are looking promising for the Canaries, who are top of the table by seven points and of third-place Watford in the race to secure automatic promotion.

Daniel Farke’s team have won now three straight league games after a 1-0 win over Rotherham United last time out in the Championship. The game saw the team from Norfolk keep their fourth clean sheet in their last six league outings.

The Canaries have not been great on their travels in the second tier, winning just two of their last five away games in the Championship.

Forebet predicts that Norwich will record another victory to boost their chances of playing Premier League next season.
