On Wednesday night, title-chasing Lyon will visit struggling Dijon, as OL look to boost their title hopes in Ligue One.
Dijon are currently 19th place in the French top-flight table, three points from both the relegation play-off spot and the safety of 18th position in the Ligue One table.
A run of one win in ten league matches, including a five-game winless run in Ligue One, has played a big part in the home sides current predicament in the table. A lack of goals this season has proven a massive problem for the home team, as no team in Ligue One has scored fewer goals.
The fact that they have failed to score in five of their previous eight league games is little surprise considering their form in front of goal during the campaign.
Dijon must find a way to improve their home form if they are to beat the drop, as they have failed to win in their last 11 league games on home soil.
Lyon have played themselves right into the fight for the Ligue One title this season, as they are just two points behind league leaders Lille. They are also a point clear of third-place reigning champions PSG.
A 2-1 victory over Bordeaux last time out means that OL have won five of their last seven matches in the French top-flight. Rudi Garcia’s team have also been difficult to beat in Ligue One, losing just one once in their previous 19 matches.
A key to their good league form this season has been their effectiveness in front of goal, as only PSG have scored more Ligue One goals. Netherlands international Memphis Depay is their top scorer in the French top-flight, having scored 11 times this season.
