Levante secured the perfect result ahead of their Copa del Rey quarter-final against Villarreal as they won 2-1 away at Real Madrid. Villarreal were held to a 1-1 draw at home by fellow high-flyers Real Sociedad but remain in 5th place, 9pts and four positions above Levante.

Both teams have scored in all of Levante’s last six outings, which doesn’t cover their defence in much glory, but does point towards their attack being in excellent form right now. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in five of the host’s last six matches and Villarreal have only failed to score in one of their last six fixtures.
The hosts look set to be without Jorge de Frutos, Nikola Vukcevic and Jose Campana due to injury. Juan Foyth, Samuel Chukwueze, Gerard Moreno, Mario Gaspar and Vicente Iborra have all been ruled out of the quarter-final for Villarreal through injury.
This Copa del Rey tie looks set to be very closely fought as both teams have performed well this season and head into the game in the midst of unbeaten runs.
