Granada were held to a goalless draw in their own backyard by Celta Vigo on Sunday and will need to put in a much-improved performance if they are to progress in the Copa del Rey.
Barcelona ran out 2-1 winners against Athletic Club at the weekend, in what was the pair’s third meeting in January.
Granada sit 7th in La Liga and Barcelona have moved up into 2nd spot following the weekend’s results, but it is the visitors that head into this one as the form favourites.
Barcelona have won four, drawn one and lost one of their last six matches in all competitions, while Granada have won three, drawn two and lost one during that same period.
Barcelona have a great record against Granada, winning 13 and losing two of the duo’s last 15 encounters in all competitions. The visitors beat Granada 4-0 when the pair locked horns in La Liga last month, so should be confident about their chances of securing another win on Wednesday night.
Four of Barcelona’s last five wins against Granada have been accompanied by a clean sheet, so the hosts will need to be at their best to win this cup tie.
Over 2.5 goals have been scored in four of Granada’s last five matches and the hosts have only failed to score in one of their last six matches. Barcelona have kept two clean sheets in their last six outings and over 2.5 goals have been produced in three of the visitor’s last five matches.
The hosts look likely to be without Luis Milla and Maxime Gonalons through hamstring injuries, while Neyder Lozano could also miss out. Barcelona won’t be able to call upon the services of Sergino Dest, Philippe Coutinho, Gerard Pique and Ansu Fati for the trip to Granada due to injury.

Barcelona are the big favourites to win on Wednesday and as the only one of the big three sides left in the Copa del Rey, the pressure is on Koeman to lead the club to cup glory.
