There has been one outstanding team in La Liga this season and that has been league leaders Atletico Madrid. Diego Simeone’s team are running away with the league, leaving their city rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona in their wake.
While Simeone and his players will not be getting carried away, heading into Sunday afternoon’s trip to Cadiz it certainly looks promising for the club from the Spanish capital.

Atletico Madrid are seven points clear of reigning champions Real Madrid and ten clear of third-place Barcelona, with a game in hand on the two Spanish giants.
The visitor's form has been relentless this season, as they have won 15 of their 18 La Liga games, with their only defeat a loss at the home of the reigning champions.
One facet of Atletico’s play that has stood out this season is their attacking threat. Under Simeone in recent years Los Rojiblancos have always been rock solid in defence, but rather cautious in attack.
This season, however, has been a different story, as only Barcelona have scored more goals in the Spanish top-flight than the league leaders.
At the heart of that attacking play has been veteran forward Luis Suarez, who is currently joint-top of the scoring charts with 12 goals after a free transfer from Barcelona in the summer.
After a fast start to their La Liga campaign, Cadiz have dropped to 11th place and only six points clear of the relegation zone. The minnows will know that they need to start picking up wins soon, although this game is unlikely to yield much joy for the home side.
Alvaro’s team head into this difficult clash on the back of just one win in their last eight outings in the Spanish top-flight.
Forebet predicts that Atletico will continue their excellent recent form and record a victory in a high-scoring encounter.
