Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is top of the Premier League sack race list and his team are struggling in the Premier League. A win on Sunday in the FA Cup could be the only way to save his job – for now.

The Blues go into the FA Cup fourth round against Championship side Luton Town. The Hatters are in midtable and playing well. They will have nothing to lose on Sunday in the FA Cup as manager Nathan Jones will fancy a run in the cup.

Chelsea progressed to the fourth round thanks to a commanding 4-0 win over Morecambe. They played well against lower league opposition and should do it once more versus Luton Town.

The Hatters claimed a 1-0 win versus Reading in the FA Cup third round. George Moncur secured the win with a first half goal. Luton Town will be taking a major step up in quality when facing off with Chelsea.

Luton Town have played 14 times away from home this season. They have posted a 5W-2D-7L record. Goal scoring has been a problem for the Hatters. They average just 0.47 goals per game scored while allowing 1.0 goal a match.

Chelsea, on the other hand, have a record of 7W-5D-2L at Stamford Bridge this season. They average 2.36 goals per game and conceded 0.86 goals a match.

Lampard’s team are winless in seven of their last 10 games in all competitions. The Blues are in a rut as Lampard has struggled to get his expensive offseason signings to fit into the team.

Reports indicate that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has already drawn up a shortlist of potential managers. The list may include Southampton manager Ralph Hassenhuttl and RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann.

Two key Chelsea players could be out of action this weekend. Striker Olivier Giroud is a doubt due to an ankle injury. Midfielder N’Golo Kante is a doubt as well. He has a hamstring strain.

Luton Town manager Nathan Jones has just one player on his injury list heading into the weekend. Eunan O’Kane is suffering from an injury and unlikely to play.

Chelsea are struggling and Lampard is showing he is over his head. Still, the manager will get his team to perform and win against Luton Town on Sunday.

The Blues blew past Morecambe in the FA Cup third round and will do it again, this time against Luton Town. Expect over 2.5 goals as Chelsea win to nil this weekend versus Luton Town.
