Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton return to Premier League action on Tuesday after both sides advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup at the weekend.

Wolves edged fellow top-flight team Crystal Palace 1-0, while the Toffees survived a shock to secure a late win 2-1 over Championship side Rotherham.

In the Premier League, there are seven points separating Wolves and Everton in the table. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men find themselves 13th, with the Toffees in 7th.

Wolves have only managed to win one of their previous seven league games, with four defeats and two draws coming along the way.

The Wanderers’ sole victory in that period came against Chelsea just before Christmas, but they have since managed to pick up just two points from a possible 12.

However, Wolves returned to winning ways on Friday, with a stunning solo goal from Adama Traore getting the club into the FA Cup fourth round.

With star striker Raul Jimenez recovering from a fractured skull, Wolves will need Traore to continue to chip in with goals and assists this season.

On the other hand, Everton had won four straight Premier League games before losing 1-0 to West Ham in the previous round.

Victories over Chelsea, Leicester City, Arsenal and Sheffield United saw the Toffees break into the top four, but they have since dropped out of the European places.

However, with the top end of the Premier League standings hugely congested at the moment, three points on Tuesday could see Everton move up to third.

Last time out, Cenk Tosun gave Everton an early lead, before Rotherham equalised early in the second half. Still, a 93rd-minute winner from Abdoulaye Doucoure eventually got the job done.

Head-to-head: Wolves crushed Everton 3-0 the last time these two sides met, with a convincing victory at Molineux back in July.

In the previous six meetings between the teams, there have been two wins for each side, as well as two draws.

Team news: Of course, Wolves are without Jimenez. But Jonny, Daniel Podence and Fernando Marcal are also sidelined at the moment.

Everton currently have three midfielders absent through injury, with Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Fabian Delph and Allan not expected to feature on Tuesday.

Following a strong start to the season, Wolves have taken a turn for the worse lately. On the flip side, Everton seem to be establishing some consistency.

Forebet predicts that Everton will claim a clean-sheet victory over Wolves on Tuesday. Over 1.5 goals are also likely to be scored.
