On Friday night, reigning Portuguese champions Porto visit Famalicao, as the reigning champions look to make up ground on league leaders Sporting at the top of the Primeira Liga.
Famalicao are not enjoying the best of seasons, as they currently occupy the relegation play-off berth, although they are level on points with Rio Ave and Portimonense.
A 1-0 defeat at Tondela last time out means that the home side has won just one of their last ten league games, having failed to win in five league outings.
Joao Pedro Sousa’s team has found it difficult to find the net of late in the Primeira Liga, as they have failed to score in four of their last five league games. Their inefficiency in front of goal has contributed to six Famalicao’s last seven league games producing under 2.5 goals.
Famalicao needs to improve their home form if they are to avoid relegation this season, as they have won just one of their previous ten league games on home soil.
Porto will be desperate for a win to get closer to Sporting, who are currently four points ahead of the champions in the title race. The visitors have certainly found form of late, as they have recorded six straight league wins, scoring at least two goals in five of the victories. The goals have been spread around the team this season, although midfielder Sergio Oliveira has scored six times in the Primeira Liga.
The visitors have an inconsistent recent away record in the Portuguese top-flight, winning three of their last five league matches. Porto have remained prolific on their travels in the Primeira Liga though, scoring at least two goals in four of their last five league matches.
Forebet predicts that Porto will record a narrow victory in a high-scoring encounter to put pressure on title rivals Sporting.
