Tottenham Hotspur host Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, with Spurs sitting just three points ahead of Marcelo Bielsa’s men.

Jose Mourinho’s side currently sit seventh in the table on 26 points, while Leeds are eleventh on 23 points.

Tottenham are playing catch-up after their game against Fulham was postponed due to coronavirus problems.Spurs head into Saturday’s clash on a four-match winless run, having recorded two draws and two defeats since their last victory.

A draw with Crystal Palace was followed by back-to-back defeats to Liverpool and Leicester, before Wolves held Spurs to a 1-1 draw last weekend.

Still, Tottenham have the third-best defensive record in the division. Mourinho’s men have only conceded 15 goals in as many games this term.

By contrast, Leeds have the worst defensive record in the Premier League. Bielsa’s side have conceded 30 goals in 16 matches.

Having said that, the Whites are also the fourth-highest scorers in the division, with their tally moving to 30 goals following their previous result.

Leeds head into Saturday’s match on the back of a whopping 5-0 thrashing of West Brom on Tuesday night.

A Romaine Sawyers own goal set them on their way, before Ezgjan Alioski, Jack Harrison, Rodrigo and Raphina all got on the scoresheet.

The Whites enjoyed 76% possession and racked up 14 shots (six on target) at the Hawthorns, completely humiliating the Baggies.

Leeds have now won three of their last four matches, with victories over Burnley and Newcastle coming either side of Christmas.

Head-to-head: Tottenham and Leeds’ last meeting came in the FA Cup back in 2013, with Leeds winning 2-1 on that occasion.

These two sides haven’t faced each other in the league since the 2003/04 campaign. In that season, Spurs did the double over the Whites.

Team news: Tottenham will be without the injured Gareth Bale and Giovani Lo Celso this weekend, while Carlos Vinicius and Lucas Moura are both doubts.

Leeds have Diego Llorente, Robin Koch, Adam Forshaw and Gaetano Berardi sidelined. Meanwhile, Liam Cooper and Mateusz Klich will be assessed ahead of Saturday’s game.

If Leeds’ recent matches are anything to go by, we are likely to see plenty of goals in North London on Saturday.

Forebet predicts that this match will produce over 4.5 total goals. However, Spurs are expected to edge Leeds on this occasion.
