Just 48 hours after playing their last game, Crystal Palace host Leicester City at Selhurst Park on Monday afternoon.

A four-game winless streak means the Eagles are down in thirteenth place with 18 points, a run of one defeat in five sees third-place Leicester sitting on 28 points.

Following a 7-0 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool last week, Palace were beaten 3-0 by Aston Villa on Boxing Day.

Roy Hodgson’s men went behind early on, but were given a chance to get back into the match after Tyrone Mings was sent off just before half-time.

However, despite finishing the game with 62% possession and 13 shots (six on target), Palace conceded twice in the second half and failed to make the most of their one-man advantage.

The Eagles have only managed to win one of their previous seven league games, with four defeats and two draws coming during that period.

They have also failed to score in four of their last seven outings. That is a statistic that will worry Roy Hodgson.

Meanwhile, Leicester have only lost one of their last five Premier League matches, picking up three wins and one draw along the way.

After losing 2-0 to Everton, the Foxes secured an impressive 2-0 victory over title rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Last time out, Brendan Rodgers’ side came from behind twice to seal a draw against another title rival – Manchester United.

Goals from Harvey Barnes and Jamie Vardy earned Leicester a 2-2 draw against the Red Devils, despite managing just two shots on target.

It goes without saying that Leicester will be desperate to keep the pressure on frontrunners Liverpool with another positive result on Monday.

Head-to-head: Leicester secured an impressive double of Palace last season, winning 2-0 at Selhurst Park and 3-0 at home.

However, it is worth pointing out that the Eagles won each of their four meetings with the Foxes leading up to last season.

Team news: Palace currently have six players sidelined – Mamadou Sakho, Nathan Ferguson, Wayne Hennessey, Martin Kelly, Connor Wickham and Gary Cahill.

Leicester will be without right-back Ricardo Pereira for Monday’s clash, while centre-back Caglar Soyuncu remains an injury doubt.

Palace’s four-game winless run is likely to be extended to five games on Monday, with in-form Leicester expected to claim all three points at Selhurst Park.

Forebet predicts that Leicester will claim their third straight victory over Crystal Palace on Monday.
