The solitary game scheduled in Monday night’s Spanish La Liga features the encounter between Eibar and Valencia at the Estadio Municipal de Ipurúa as the hosts look to extend their unbeaten run in La Liga to four matches without defeat.
Recent 1-1 and 0-0 draws with Huesca and Getafe respectively along with their 2-0 win away from home at Real Betis has helped lift Monday night’s hosts, Eibar, up into a more respectable looking 12th place in the Spanish top flight table.

Overall results though this season have been fairly inconsistent on the part of Eibar as the hosts have won three, drawn four and lost four of their total of 11 matches so far in this season’s campaign, while Eibar are still waiting on their first home win of the new term as well.
Three draws and three defeats underline the problems that Eibar have had in terms of securing wins on home turf at their Estadio Municipal de Ipurúa as well as scoring goals as five of these six home matches have also resulted in under 2.5 goals.
Valencia dropped down to a disappointing 14th place on the La Liga table following their narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Atletico Madrid last time out in the Spanish top flight, and indeed, success has largely escaped the visitors so far this season as Valencia make their way into this clash having registered just one win out of their last seven matches overall.
Having picked up just three wins in total so far in this season’s campaign, Valencia are far from a guaranteed three points here against a stubborn looking Eibar outfit in their own backyard, especially as Valencia have managed just one win from their last 16 matches on the road overall.
It’s been a spectacular fall from grace for a Valencia outfit who were regularly challenging for a top five spot in previous campaigns, but it appears the best that the visitors can hope for here is perhaps a point.
That said, Valencia are up against an Eibar outfit who have yet to register a win on home turf this term so the prospects of a low-scoring game appears to be a distinct possibility here, especially as each of the previous five meetings have resulted in under 2.5 goals.
