Borussia Monchengladbach welcome Inter Milan to Borussia-Park on Tuesday, with the two sides sitting at opposite ends of Champions League Group B.

Unbeaten Gladbach sit top of the group – one point clear of second-place Real Madrid and six points ahead of winless Inter.

Gladbach have enjoyed an excellent return to European action, winning two and drawing two of their four Champions League games this season.

The German side began with back-to-back draws against Inter and Real Madrid, before securing two heavy victories over Shakhtar Donetsk.

Alassane Plea scored a hat-trick as Gladbach thrashed Shakhtar 6-0 in Ukraine, before Marco Rose’s men won the reverse fixture 4-0 last week.

With 14 goals in four games, Gladbach are the second-highest scorers in the competition this season, with only Bayern Munich netting more (15).

Gladbach head into Tuesday’s clash on the back of a 4-1 victory over Schalke. Rose’s side sit seventh in the Bundesliga table – seven points behind leaders Bayern.

On the other hand, it’s safe to say that Inter Milan’s Champions League campaign could not have gone much worse up to now.

The Italians have failed to win in Europe this term, drawing with Gladbach and Shakhtar, before suffering consecutive defeats to Real Madrid.

Inter’s poor start leave them with just two points to show for their efforts, making qualification for the knockout stages highly unlikely.

Still, Antonio Conte’s side have only lost one of their nine Serie A matches this season, keeping them within touching distance of frontrunners and rivals AC Milan.

Conte’s men beat Sassuolo 3-0 last time out, meaning they are now the top scorers in the Italian top-flight.

Needless to say, the manager will be desperate for his players to carry their domestic form onto the European stage.

Head-to-head: The two sides drew 2-2 on Matchday 1, with Romelu Lukaku netting a brace to rescue a point for Inter.

Team news: Gladbach duo Ramy Bensebaini (coronavirus) and Jonas Hofmann (muscle tear) are expected to miss Tuesday’s clash.

Meanwhile, Matias Vecino, Daniele Padelli, Marcelo Brozovic and Aleksandar Kolarov are all doubts for Inter.

Gladbach and Inter produced a high-scoring draw in the reverse fixture, and a similar scoreline is expected this time around.

Forebet predicts that both teams will score over 1.5 goals on Tuesday, with a draw the most likely outcome.
