Atalanta sit 3rd in Group D but a win in their penultimate match against Midtjylland would see the club move into the qualifying places.
The Serie A side have claimed 7pts from their opening four group games, putting them level with Ajax and 2pts behind Liverpool.
Last time out, Atalanta lost 2-0 at home to Verona in the league but their last outing in the Champions League proved far more successful as they won 2-0 away at Liverpool.
Tuesday’s hosts have only won two of their last six matches in all competitions but that win over Liverpool has left Group D wide open. Each of Atalanta’s last four outings have produced under 2.5 goals, with the Italians struggling to score many goals of late.
However, the hosts have kept two clean sheets in their last three matches and go up against a Midtjylland side that have struggled in Europe’s elite club competition this season.
These two teams met for the very first time in their history in October. Atalanta ran out comfortable 4-0 win in Denmark and will be confident of securing another 3pts on Tuesday.
Midtjylland have failed to win either of their last two matches, drawing 0-0 with AaB at the weekend and losing 3-1 away at ajax in the Champions League.
Over 2.5 goals have been scored in four of the visitor’s last six matches in all competitions, with both teams scoring in three of those fixtures. Midtjylland have lost each of their opening four games in Group D, scoring a mere 2-goals and conceding a disappointing 11-goals.
Atalanta could be without Miranchuk, Pasalic, Malinovsky and Caldara for Tuesday’s clash. Defender Eric Sviatchenko is suspended for the visitors, while Cajuste, Evander, Brumado and Olsen are all doubts due to injury and illness.
Forebet is backing a comfortable home win for Atalanta against Midtjylland on Tuesday.
The hosts are in the best of scoring form so Forebet is expecting a 4-1 victory.
