This season’s La Liga has had several surprise-packages, one of those teams is new boys Cadiz, who on Saturday afternoon visit Elche.
Cadiz are currently fifth-place in the Spanish top-flight, just three points outside the Champions League spots. Despite their promising start to the league campaign, Alvaro’s team heads into this clash on the back of a two-game losing run in La Liga. However, those defeats were against the league’s top-two Atletico Madrid and last time out Real Sociedad.

The visitors will be confident of getting back to winning ways in this far less tricky game on paper anyway. A 4-0 defeat at Atletico Madrid in their last away game ended a run of four straight wins on their travels in La Liga.
A key to Cadiz’s good away results of late in the Spanish top-flight has been their defensive record, as they have kept four clean sheets in their last five away matches in La Liga.
Elche have not quite picked up as many points as their fellow La Liga new boys, but they have picked up just two points fewer than Cadiz, having played two games less than the visitors this season.
A 1-1 draw at Levante last time out means that Elche have failed to win in their last previous three league games. However, on the flip-side, the home side has lost just one of their last seven La Liga games.
Elche’s home record in La Liga is inconsistent, but they are currently on a run of three games unbeaten at the Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero in the Spanish top-flight.
Their recent home matches in the Spanish top flight have been relatively high-scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in four of their last six home matches.
Forebet predicts that Cadiz will return to winning ways by recording a victory in a high-scoring encounter to continue their promising La Liga campaign.
