Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming to extend their seven-game unbeaten run in the Premier League when they host Manchester City on Saturday.

Following a strong start to the season, Spurs currently find themselves second in the table – one point behind frontrunners Leicester City.

Meanwhile, Man City are down in tenth after only managing to win three of their opening seven league games this term.

Jose Mourinho’s side head into Saturday’s clash on the back of three straight victories in the Premier League.

Wins over Burnley, Brighton and West Brom have seen Tottenham cement second place in the standings.

Not only are Mourinho’s men the second-highest scorers in the division, they also boast the joint-best defensive record.

Harry Kane has already notched up 13 goals and ten assists in 14 appearances in all competitions, including seven goals and eight assists in eight league games.

Son Heung-min has also hit the ground running this term, contributing ten goals and five assists in 13 outings, with eight goals in eight league matches.

On the flip side, Man City have endured an iffy start to the 2020/21 campaign and come into this clash having won just one of their previous three league outings.

After drawing with West Ham, Pep Guardiola’s side beat Sheffield United, before being held by Liverpool.

Having picked up 12 points from a possible 21 this season, it’s fair to say that Man City have not been at their best in recent months.

Guardiola’s men are known for scoring plenty of goals, yet they have only managed to net ten in seven league outings this term.

However, Man City are thriving in Europe. They have won each of their three Champions League games this season – scoring nine goals while conceding just one.

Head-to-head: Tottenham avoided defeat in three of their last five meetings with Man City in all competitions.

Spurs beat Man City 2-0 in their previous encounter back in February, so Mourinho will be confident that his side can avoid defeat once again this time around.

Team news: Tottenham will be without right-back Matt Doherty this weekend after the Irishman returned a positive coronavirus test.

As for Man City, Sergio Aguero and Nathan Ake are both injured. Ferran Torres is likely to start after netting a hat-trick for Spain during the international break.

Tottenham have only lost four of their last 24 Premier League games, while three of Man City’s last five league games have ended in a draw.

With those statistics in mind, Forebet predicts that Spurs and Man City will play out a high-scoring draw on Saturday, with both sides likely to score over 1.5 goals.
