France will be looking to secure top spot in Nations League Group A3 when Sweden visit Stade de France on Tuesday.

The French sealed a 1-0 victory over Portugal on Saturday, taking them three points ahead of Fernando Santos’ side – and ten points clear of Croatia and Sweden.

Didier Deschamp’s men are unbeaten in this year’s Nations League, picking up four wins and a draw along the way.

France have already beaten Sweden on Matchday 1, with Kylian Mbappe scoring the only goal of the game in Stockholm.

The French have also done the double over Croatia, with their only draw coming in a goalless encounter with Portugal on Matchday 3.

Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante handed France all three points last time out, despite Portugal racking up 18 shots (six on target).

After losing 2-0 to Finland in a friendly earlier in the week, it was imperative that Deschamp’s side got back on track and returned to winning ways.

On the flip side, Sweden have endured a woeful Nations League experience this year. Indeed, Janne Andersson’s side lost their opening four games.

However, they finally managed to pick up their first win of the campaign with a 2-1 victory over fellow strugglers Croatia on Saturday.

Highly-rated Juventus youngster Dejan Kulusevski opened the scoring last time out, before Marcus Danielson (Dalian Pro) added a second goal.

Sweden also suffered a 2-0 defeat to rivals Denmark in a friendly match last week, meaning they have lost five of their last seven outings in all competitions.

Head-to-head: France have won three of the last four meetings between these two nations, dating back to 2014.

Back in September, France claimed a 1-0 victory over Sweden on Matchday 1, although Andersson’s side edged the possession (51%-49%) and the shot count (9-7) on that occasion.

Team news: After sitting out of France’s win against Portugal, Kylian Mbappe looks set to return to France’s starting line-up on Tuesday.

Olivier Giroud (Chelsea) could replace Anthony Martial (Manchester United) in attack, after the latter endured a match to forget at the weekend.

As for Sweden, Kulusevski remains their key goal threat. Victor Lindelof (Manchester United) will aim to keep things tight at the back.

France may have beaten Sweden earlier in the campaign, but there was very little to separate the two sides on that occasion.

Despite France’s obvious superiority, Forebet predicts that Sweden will hold the French to a goalless draw this time around.
